They say the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach, so this Father’s Day show your Dad some love by cooking him a meal to remember. We have put together menu ideas for every type of Father’s Day celebration.

For a large family gathering or a picnic bathing in the Spring sunshine, large salads, dips and wraps can work well. Simple Middle Eastern inspired food with added flavour always goes down a treat. Start with a homemade hummus and flatbreads, followed by a striking heritage tomato and Black Tahini salad, all accompanied by chicken Shawarma wraps that everyone can dig into and enjoy eating.

If you are braving a barbecue you may be taking a gamble with the weather, but you don’t have to with your menu. Graze on a platter of Beldi Preserved Lemon and cumin hummus while your Rose Harissa marinated halloumi, and Zhoug and yoghurt marinated skewers sizzle on the flames of the barbecue. Serve the meat and cheese alongside an indulgent Truffle and Artichoke Pesto potato salad with crispy bacon, and a refreshing Greek-style salad. If you have space, finish your feast with a slice of chocolate and salted caramel Balsamic tart.

If you are after something lighter or vegetable based, try starting with mini roasted courgette bruschetta’s for a starter, you could even drizzle them with Tahini to really take it up a notch. Follow it up with a vibrant hearty Sweet Potato, Chermoula and Chickpea curry, and for dessert, indulge in a rich, zesty vegan chocolate orange mousse.

For a Sunday lunch that your Dad will enjoy start with a light, crisp starter of celery, apple, Tahini and Zhoug, leaving room for helping of a  formidable Rose Harissa Beef Pie with suet pastry. The flaky, golden pastry encompasses a hearty filling of beef, onions, Rose Harissa, leeks, and carrots. Follow this up with a gingery steamed sponge with Beldi Preserved Lemons.
